First Floor
When first opening the movable bookcase, you were led to the first floor of the hidden annex which consisted of Mr. and Mrs. Frank's bedroom, that had their two beds, books, and everyday clothing which was probably only one or two pairs of pants and a few shirts. They also had a dining room table and two chairs ,which they secretly took from their house in the Netherlands, it was also referred to as the family room where they spent Hanukkah and ate all of their family meals, if they had any to eat. There was also a bathroom on the first floor which only contained a sink. In order to actually take baths, they had to fill a large bucket with water and find a private place. Baths were taken only once a week. The first floor also had Anne Frank and Mr. Dussel's room. Anne tried to keep her room as decorated and cheerful as possible by hanging pictures and cut-outs of her favorite actors and actresses on her wall. Their room had two beds and a shared desk. Their room led into the bathroom which led into the hallway.
