Anne Frank
Annelies Marie Frank was born June 12,1929 in Frankfurt, Germany and died March 1945 of typhus with her sister in Bergen Belsen concentration camp. Anne Frank received her diary, in which she wrote in for two years, on her 13th birthday. Anne was upset because when Anne and her family went into hiding she had to leave her cat, Moortje, behind.
Otto Frank
Otto Loupen Frank was born on May 12,1889 in Frankfurt Main, German Empire and died August 19,1980 (aged 91) in Birsfelden, Basel-Landschaft, Switzerland the cause of his death was lung cancer. Otto Frank was a lieutenant in the German Army during World War I who later became a businessman in Germany and the Netherlands. He had two wives, his first wife was Edith Hollander who died in the concentration camps of exhaustion and starvation, he later married Elfriede Geiringer.
Edith Frank
Edith Frank was the mother of Anne Frank and, Margot Frank. Edith married Otto Frank on his 36th birthday, May 12,1925. Edith Frank was born January 16th ,1900 in Aachen Prussia ,German Empire and died on January 6th ,1945 ,Edith was originally supposed to die in a gas chamber at Bergen- Belsen concentration camp but escaped from the chamber, she stayed with her two daughters and saved every bit of food for them and eventually died of starvation and exhaustion. Edith had two brothers Julius, and Walter, they both escaped to America and died very old men.
Mr. Van Daan
Mr. Van Daan was born on March 31,1898 in the German Empire and died October 1944. Eyewitnesses say that the Van Daans were sent to Auschwitz and to the Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp. The witness stated that Mr.Van Daan injured his thumb while working and requested to be sent to the sick barracks. One day, while they were "cleaning out" the sick barracks he was chosen to go to the gas chambers. Out of everyone that lived in the Annex, he was the only one to be sent to gas chambers to die.
Mrs. Van Daan
Mrs. Van Daan's exact birth and death date are both a mystery to people, but some say that she was sent to Bergen-Belsen with Anne, Margot ,and Mrs. Frank but was separated from them when she was transferred from the ghetto but apparently never arrived so most assume that she died in the box car on the way to her destination.
Peter Van Daan
Just like Peter's mother, his exact birth and death date are still a mystery; however, it is known that Peter was sent to Mauthausen Concentration Camp with Mr. Frank however they got separated when Peter decided to join the march on January 25th, 1945 and four days later, Peter was put into an outdoor labor group. Months later, he was sent to the sick barracks, and it is estimated that he died May 2,1945
Mr. Dussel
Although Mr.Dussel's birth date remains a mystery, it is said that he died December 20th 1944 in the Neuengamme Concentration Camp. Before the war, he was Meip and Mr. Kraler's dentist. In the concentration camp, he died of dysentery and cholera, both of which were common causes of death in the camps.
